Aesthetic surgeries (liftings, rhinoplasties, blepharoplasties...) and aesthetic non-surgical interventions (injections of Botulinum toxin, injections of hyaluronic acid, peelings, lasers...) are more and more common.

They are giving fantastic and immediate results, but sometimes the patients need a few days for recovery, especially due to the occurrence of bruising, or small hematomas. They are benign, but affect the patient’s self-esteem and familiar and professional life.

This is the reason why we have developed POSTOPIX®, a cosmeceutical Cream able to alleviate and help improve the appearance of post-procedure bruises.

POSTOPIX® is based on the unique combination of two vegetal active ingredients: Quassia amara, a potent anti-inflammatory, and fucoidans extracted from the seaweed Undaria pinnatifida, with anticoagulant, decongestant and anti-inflammatory activity.

Applied immediately after the intervention, and during a few days following it, POSTOPIX® permits to alleviate the symptoms of bruising and reduce their duration, making the recovery faster.

POSTOPIX® Cream can be used after procedures of plastic and dermatological surgery, such as breast surgery, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, liposuction, injections of dermal fillers or botulinum toxin, mesotherapy and lasers. It is also successful after vascular and phlebologic procedures.

For best results, start applying POSTOPIX® cream immediately post-procedure. Following, apply it twice daily, morning and evening, with a prolonged massage until complete penetration.

Use POSTOPIX® Cream until bruise has disappeared. Make-up is possible after complete penetration of the product.
POSTOPIX®: Efficacy and Safety

New approach in management of post-procedure bruise. Unique combination of two vegetal active ingredients:

• Fucoidans (Undaria pinnatifida extract)
- Anticoagulant8
- Antioxidant9
- Anti-inflammatory10

• Quassia (Quassia amara) extract
- Strong anti-inflammatory11

Excellent toxicological profile for both active ingredients:

• Fucoidan has FDA Registration (Nº 11902379674).

• Quassia is classified by FDA as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe).

Perfect local tolerance for topical fucoidans12 and Quassia extract13.

Post-procedure bruising

• Bruises (or contusions) are minor hematomas caused by trauma following surgeries or injections.
• Capillaries and sometimes venules are damaged, allowing blood to seep.

• Although not severe, light bruises can be embarrassing, affecting the patient’s self-esteem and making difficult his/her social and professional life.

Current treatments of light bruises

• Topical heparin has anticoagulant1, anti-inflammatory2 and anti-angiogenic3 effects.

• Topical vitamin K has mainly anticoagulant properties4.

• Use of topical vitamin K is controversial5 due to non-proven efficacy6,7 and side effects5.
